Could former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels be a good fit in Oakland?
With Raiders head coach Tom Cable unlikely to return, reports out of the Bay Area indicate that McDaniels is a potential candidate to replace him.
Nancy Gay, NFL Senior Editor for FOXSports.com, says Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh and McDaniels both “intrigue” Raiders owner Al Davis.
The Broncos fired McDaniels in December amid a 5-17 losing skid dating back to the 2009 season.
McDaniels, 34, made a series of personnel blunders, notably trading away Peyton Hillis, who has become a power running back in Cleveland.
He also was fined $50,000 by the NFL for failing to report a subordinate who violated league rules by videotaping a San Francisco 49ers practice in London on Oct. 30.
